Default Help needed for the CCC Race BBQ

I have been tasked with bringing a BBQ grill & chairs to the CCC Race on Saturday. I have a small portable grill, and some chairs, but that obviously won't suffice for the entire throng of racers we'll have show up.

So does someone over in B-town have a BBQ grill we can borrow for this? I will be over there Friday with my truck so I could come pick it up. But there really won't be room in my truck to pack my full-size one from home for a 100 mile trip down I-5 with all my racing gear.

And if anyone has a large cooler they can bring for the group that would be great. I have one, but we'll probably need 2 more at least. The CCCA will be buying the pop to fill them with and the burgers to grill.

I would also like to ask people to bring chairs....many regularly do for the races, so please plan to use them at the bbq too.

Thanks
Mark

I'll see if I can fit my cooler in my Corvette along with my chairs... not sure if it will clear the rear hatch though. One thing I've come to learn, the C4 has crap for storage space... even less than the C5s.

Is there anything else that's needed? Large amounts of chips, etc? I have a Sam's Club down the hill from my house, so I can buy a couple of things if needed.

Actually, CCCA is providing all the food and fixins. If anyone wants to bring some deserts that would be great.

I can bring my grill and an ice chest.

Only problem with the grill is I don't know how much propane I have left, so if someone can bring a spare propane bottle that would be great.

I can bring a few chairs and some desert. Ellis will have my truck so if there's any room for a big cooler we can bring it.

Chris, here's the car club we belong to (link below to members page, not home page). F-bods and vettes and novas and... been waiting for you to join. All you have to do is say your in and your in. Then you can race with us, costs 5 bucks for a ccc number. You get 3 or 4 or more test runs, then bracket racing. Even if you go out 1st round it still gets the club 2-points. We need another big vette in the club, going to try to get Perry to join also. Great guys and we all are gear heads, lots of fun. Join on up? You going to T and T friday night? then CCC Saturday both at bremerton?

Is the BBQ after we're finished, or during one of the breaks?

When we're finished. We want to do all this as quickly as possible. We're going to ask the track to get us through as quick as possible so plan on only 2 practice runs before elims.

Here's the agenda.
  1. Hand out the race trophies
  2. Hand out the champions trophies
  3. Elect 2007 officers
  4. EAT!

Sounds OK to me. Thanks Don!

(I wonder how this will play out for the few of us also doing the BOP, but that's our problem)

I intend on meeting up with some of the guys at Sheri's in Federal Way on Saturday am and then tryin my luck at the 1/4 mile that morning... I am not involved in the CCC thing, but I sure wouldnt mind, either joining or merely helping. I have a large cooler and I can snag a propane bottle if one in needed. If I can do anything to help, by all means let me know..I am going to yank my subs box out for the runs, durned thing has to go 100lbs w/ amp. so I will have some room for storage
