Great Day!

It was a great day lapping today. Perfect weather, not too crowded but a whole lot of p-cars. Only one could our run me which was a GT2 with full on race setup. Really bad car! Finally found the perfect tire pressure for my setup and flogged the **** of it. The Toyo RA-1's stick pretty damn good until they get hot. I had the rear get loose on me exiting turn 2 at 80mph and then again out of turn 8. Consistently hit 140-142 going into 1-2. Really stepped it up today. My lap times are now down to 1:42-44 consistently. I am very tired and the drive home was extremely SLOW. On a sad note, I learned that a Ferrari 360 and built NSX tangled coming out of turn 6 last week. The 360 dropped his wheels off the track at the same time the NSX was going by. His reaction caused the NSX to hit him and go airborne. The resultant crash damn near took the NSX driver's hand off in that his arm was out the window when the car flipped and landed on it. He is the premier heart surgeon in this area, Dr. Needles(sp?). Makes you think.

Good for him having a good time; hope he's OK. The heart surgeon I know won't even go snow skiing for fear of hurting his hands.

Hey Rick, you should see the video Jacquie did for me last time. Everything but ME! So I am positive you would be better. Oh look, a birdie, lets film it. Damn, there he goes again! Got it on film.

Narcszm, from what I heard today this surgeon only has one speed and it ain't neutral. They say he is very agressive on the track but very good. This was not his fault. Investigations are still going and you know there will be some legal recourse between them.

Glad to hear you're improving Eric. I just got back from Germany, where I got to do the Nurburgring in a GT class race spec Viper. All I can say after that experience is, "Holy F***ing S**t!!!!" A Z06 is about the only reasonably priced stock car that could even come close to that kind of thrill.

Have you ever seen a silver Z down there? Big guy, name is Paul, runs good times. I told him about you & he was wondering what group you go out with. He is always looking for a fellow Vette guy to hang out with. Nice guy, has a bunch of collector cars that he shows, Ellis does his tranny work.....
