I had an '04 Jetta GLi before the Cobra. Great little car, well built with decent performance. I did get rid of it when the warranty was up though.

 

Let me guess, she was a stripper, er....I mean "entertainer".

 

I'll take it though, what a bargain now.

What is REALY funny about that site is, Back in the early seventies(ya ya I TOLD you I was old!) the most common problum with "Porche" was thay put the batery OVER the fule line,.....NO NO realy, and so this is OLD BATTERY technoligy when It heated up it might drip a little and you guessed it. a zillion of them burned to the ground before the recall!!!

 

Sad to see a new Z06 go up in flames....BUT...there's going to be some good parts available for the rest of us now!

 

The only German car I'd ever be driving is an old-school VW. BMWs and Benzs might be great cars, but the whole stigma that comes with them is something I'd rather avoid. I'd rather people look at my car and think I'm a redneck than think I'm a ******* yuppie *******. And Porsches... well they are great cars but I can't ever see spending that much on a car.

 

the guy said he just had an exhaust installed at the dealer and may have nicked a fuel line during it.

 

If in fact that happened at the dealership... boy would I love to hear their explanation about how it happened.. or rather, their complete denial
