My new year's is getting off to a pretty unexpected start....
Let's just say that the GTO is getting a new license plate on Tuesday (the current one has to go), and that the decals on the rear of the hatch of my Formula have been replaced with LS1TECH decals.

They kinda did the routine that Brad used to pull on LS1.COM.
They set up a new server account weeks ago, and have apparently been planning this for a while. They said nothing to me, or to any of the moderators... and while no one was looking they snuck the site onto a new server account and gave me the boot without so much as a phone call or an email.
Well, they said they emailed me... but they apparently sent it to my LS2.COM email address after they changed the DNS entries on the server, so it "bounced", or so they say. Yeah, okay. At any rate, they didn't even say a word until after they'd already moved everything, locked my access, etc.
So I emailed them and said what's up.. and they replied back basically saying "Oh, we took a vote and you're out, we're not paying for the server any more as of 10 hours from now, and here's what we're giving you for your portion of the site ownership" with one of the offers being "free hosting of my sites for 2 years", after which I can pay them $200/year.
Seriously... you think I'd take "free hosting" from someone who would do that do me, regardless of the price?
So as of Sunday morning, I have no connection to LS2.COM whatsoever, other than being a registered user there, and I'm probably not going to be spending much time over there. It basically boils down to the reality that removing me makes it so they don't have to pay attention to things like users not getting answers in tech, mods who never show up, sponsors not getting a decent return on their advertising dollar, etc.. any more.. and it's easier to deal with removing me than it is for them to deal with the people I **** off by wanting to make the site an actual car board instead of some silly chat site.
The whole thing is a mess, needless to say... but I'm actually kinda happy I don't have to deal with that bullshit any more.
