lol the car was very gutted for a long time . ac carpet rear seats sound deadening mufflers dumped off headers bumper supports front sway bar. but doing all of that really made me never want to drive the car. i have a swaybar on the way and i put most of the interior back together. im sure it still isnt even close to being a pig ill have to get it weighed again.

jewbacca - I was just razzin' ya. It's hard to convey in text what a tone of voice could. I guess I should have typed, "Nooo shiiaatt!" and that would have done it.

I finally weighed my car tonight. Most stock GTOs, with a full tank, end up 4100-4200 depending on driver weight.

Total Daily Driver Weight (w/full tank, driver & work stuff) - 4040
Front Half - 2160 (53%)
Rear Half - 1880 (47%)

Total Without Driver - 3720
I didn't think to check front/rear weight without driver. It would be interesting to know how much my big butt affects the car's balance.

Anyone know how much gasoline weighs per gallon? I'm curious how much weight racing on 1/4 tank saves.

6 pounds a gallon. How can you weigh a car in halves?

Roll the front wheels on the scale and stop. Then pull all the way on. Then pull the front wheels off, leaving just the rear wheels on the scale.

I wasn't certain it would work, but when I saw the front and rear numbers add up perfectly to match the total weight I knew it had worked just fine.

6lb a gallon eh? That means I've lost about 100lbs since it was stock. It adds up.
