With something like this coming up so soon after purchase, especially with an advertised 3mo. warranty, there should be absolutely no argument whatsoever about repairing the car for you.
Do not take this the wrong way whatsoever as we have never met, but in my dealings you catch alot more bees with honey.... From your very first post, it seems you've been upset. Its understandable, you bough a $20k Corvette, but contrary someone stated its not as though the dealer KNEW it had an issue beforehand, since obviously it wasn't doing this when you bought the car. I've seen numerous people before even giving the dealer a chance to make things right, yell scream and jump down the salesman/manager/service guy's throat, which can cause animosity to where I honestly wouldn't help anyone if I didn't legally have to.
As I said I hope you don't take this the wrong way, as I absolutely do not know how this situation has been handled from the onset, nor am I trying to defend this dealership, just trying to enlighten some people as to what helps in these matters and what doesn't. I don't know anything about this store in particular, and there are some unscrupulous dealers out there, but there are more good guys then bad, especially when you give them a fair shake at it.

Just remember that you were RAVING about how good of a deal you got on this car....
If you want to get their attention, contact the BBB or the Dealer Investigator.
My husband was up bright & early on tuesday morning trying to find a way for the dealership to do the right thing. No Yelling was on his point until he got to the point that the dealership told him straight out since we didnt buy the EW they dont want no dealings wtih them
The Sales manager was yelling over the phone at my husband, My husband does tend to hold his temper but he was getting upset & I just told him to finish the talk.
I did call the GM of the dealership NOT to get anymore than what was already promised to us but just to let him know that we think we got the raw deal & that his Sales Manager was rude to my husband & then all nicey nice to me. All he said was that the $300 was more than what we deserved since we didnt get the EW & that his Sales Manager doesnt Yell.
So they are protecting themselves. We were willing to work with the dealership to get the car up there.Heck we were willing to even pay part of the cost for the local dealership to do the work. that wasnt the problem we just wanted to get the car fixed. But one night & most of the day they said that they would pay 100% of the cost of the car getting fixed because of the warranty & then the next night they said they were only going to pay $300.
OK now the major question for a power train warrany doesnt that also include the whole engine????
I dont have the paper work infront of me because its in the dealership with the car.
OH by the way they ordered the parts today & the car should be back at the house maybe monday? or tuesday. HOPEFULLY
