So I re-enlisted Yep, didn't think I would but I really couldn't pass up the school option. Our battalion offers anyone who re-enlists for stabilization the chance to go to school full-time for 6 months. I also got a small bonus on top of the deal, not so bad for 3 more years. i'd post some pics but there too big, My enlistment is suppose to be on Pro-Max's website, i did it in front of a 1968 Firebird 400 so check out the website here soon when you get a chance.

the stabilization keeps me from PCS'ing for a year, which means I can't come down with orders to move to a different duty station. I can still be deployed during that time but not really anytime soon cuz my unit just got back in October.

i always said i wouldnt re enlist but they offered me a sweet deal as well, 12 month stabilization and 19k re enlistment bonus for 4 yrs tax free (iraq) all because of a certain month i came in the army!!!!

Congrats on the re-up. Sounds like you were smart enough to figure all options and school was just as important - not bad for another three years 
John just did this last weekend for 6 more (years - its to full retirement) and we skipped part of enlistment bonus money for him to go to officer school instead. Also keeps him off the sandbox roster until 08' if not longer and who knows what the new president will be having us do by then.
If we/us/you guys didn't really love keeping this country free from total tyranny then you wouldn't take any deal. I'd say that is a huge show of nads.
