Default NORC and car update

Thursday next week I fly to Boise to prep Jeffs vette and then head to Ely. We are running in the 170mph class again and hoping to shut the door on the competition. Last year we averaged 170.0313 for the win. Thats a pretty tough mark to beat but if we just finish I'll be happy.

Looks like things might be making a turnaround for me on the car. I have just come to the sad conclusion that I will not be able to swing the motor build at LME I have been wanting to do for so long. The person I originally bought the motor from is going to pretty much buy it back from me and then the funds I have at LME along with some parts will be coming back as well. This way I can take that money and pick up a turn key hot cammed motor here locally just to get the car moving again.

However, I happen to have alot of goodies up here that will go on that motor. Victor Jr. intake and 90mm TB, Dry sump, MTI heads, BS3. The motor put down 390rwhp through a stock converter on the old car it was in. So with the addition of the parts I have and maybe a slightly more agressive cam it should get to a reliable 400-420rwhp. Just need to chase down some hears for it. It wont be near the HP I wanted but it will at least be running and I can get it down to another ORR event (hopefully sept.).

Jeff is planning on running his new TT vette for all the MKM events this year and letting me drive the return runs. So if all goes well, I will have already made the nessacary requirements to drive the 160mph class in sept in my car with a 180mph tech. With the aero mods and a we bit more hp a 180mph pass shouldnt be to tough in my car.

Default News to me

Oh so you have not signed up for the whole season. So guess I will need to be looking for a new navigator for Silver State? After spending so much time in a Vette can you really go back to a Camaro?
