Has popped up in the firebird section a couple times.

IIRC it is just a car someone with a bunch of time on their hands put together and is trying to pawn off as a collector car or a special edition.

Well with 1300 miles on it the price really is not that far off. I saw new ones go for 44k+ local. It will take the right buyer for sure but it is basicly a brand new car.

Sure is a nice car. I would personally not pay that much for it, but someone will.

For that price I'd sell you a one-of-a-kind 2000 WS6 with the super-charged option that comes with a low mileage 800hp motor, runs 10 sec 1/4 miles, is setup to run road races, has won car shows, and will blow the F-ing doors off that car (or a new Viper for that matter)! I'd even install new seats with red insert panels......$61K? My God

LOL I missed the 61K part. I saw the 35K bid. 35k would be a good place to start for a car with those Miles and dicker

YOU think that is bad look at this......

I could point out a lot of problems with that "restoration" but it is a clean car just the price is out of hand.

I think my comment suggests I'm not real fond of the car.

And this is coming from a diehard Firebird guy.

Yeah, there's some stuff that isn't "correct", but that car is freaking SICK, and they'll probably get what they're asking out of it. The things that aren't correct about it are almost all correctable with a simple bolt-on part. Early Trans Ams are starting to command a pretty hefty price, I've been real tempted to sell both my 'Birds and buy one while I can still afford it.

I just couldn't bring myself to beat up a car like that on the strip, though... I'd have to build a fake.

Nope. Between the f'ed up front end, the decals, relocated "Trans Am" door badges and that HIDEOUS yellow on the interior, all I wanna do is

Dump the wheels and get rid of the yellow stuff and it wouldn't be bad.

Personally i would get rid of all the yellow on the car, The hood looks really ... Not so good and well could live with those wheels. But 61K no way ... Should better get a 800hp DD (a 2000 WS6 ) than that one.
