Default American Revolution?

I acquired these trinkets and noticed something odd... This big bold Chevy emblem and the proud American Revolution slogan is made in China?

What exactly IS the Revolution? WTF?

Damn, bout the only Chev product that's still at least 80% American is the Corvette, and that's GM's claim to fame with the Vettes.

In one of thier articles or somewhere it's been stated by GM that the Vette is still 80% American made, you must consider that it's also put together in Bowling Green, so maybe it's a combo of parts and assembly that gets the 80%? Any parts from RiceLand?

Unfortunately I think it's a marketing slogan.

Well, thankfully they are still more "American" than any other car manufacturer. This is why I buy from GM almost exclusively. I don't consider myself a brand loyalist...unless you can categorize "Only Buying American" as such...which is just called "being patriotic" in reality.

I agree. To bad more people aren't like us, maybe a few of our manufacturing jobs woulds stick around. If given a chance, I allways buy American. In the Harley aftermarket catalogs, all USA stuff is marked by a US Flag, and the cheap junk is not. At one point in time, American made meant the best of the best. Company owners are also part of the problem, instead of being loyal to the US, they see more $$ by setting up sweat shops in china, rotten bastages. Wasn't it that piece of crap Clinton that started this one world market bull. Now, it looks like his man hating wife is coming into her own, god save America. Proud to be a Flag Wavier.

Sort of, I remember a lot of Clinton deals helping China, especially in their weapons department (the missiles that previously couldn't fire 50 feet but can now reach Oregon/WA). You're right though, he sure as hell didn't help our manufacturing guys out--which is why it is bad now.

It was Reagan. And his I can't remember the Iran contra war counter-parts. You people dont like democrats but yet the most destructive corruption has alway come while the Reps were in control. Give it a rest. For every 1 thing you think the reps have done good they've done 100 things behind your back and againt the constitution.
But as long as someone waves a holy flag its ok. ******* joke if you ask me.

Poilitics in the NW are about as in touch with reality as Bush is with global warming. We need to grow switch grass!! Can you say Elfred E Neuman in the white house... even looks just like him and the cartoon figure came out 30 some odd years ago......

Give the political ignorance a rest.

Clinton was in office for less than a year when NAFTA was signed. Bush preceeded him.

Who created the GATT and who created the WTO?? You want to get deep politcal and find out what really happened and why American cars arent made in America you need to dig deep and go back.

Now I'm not saying I'm right, I'm saying look at the facts and see them for what they are not for what you want them to be.

Exactly my point, ignorance, I think not, facts are facts. Sounds as if your a Hillary grab her skirt and hang on kind of guy. You think we have had problems with past presidents, well she surely will ruin us. By the way, I have voted demo and republo, so no partisan politics here, can you say the same. Clinton was/is a piece of garbage, and his wife isn't too far off (considering her military hating back ground). God I love waving the flag.

Game on!

Funny how your memory is so fuzzy when it comes to facts. Must be that Portland liberal bias. I'll bet you voted for the same people that you complain made the emissions laws.

The Bipartisan parties are ruining this country. Ever stop to think that the Independant party was there for a reason?
