Pros
-Modular design
-Gear ratios galore
-Cheaper parts and waaaaaaay more plentiful
-Easier to setup gears
-Just as strong
-Cheaper overall
-Ability to have one (or multiple) spare center section/gear assys ready to drop-in (different ratios etc..). Have one setup with a spool, the other with a diff etc....
Cons
-Heavy
-Slightly more drivetrain loss
-No 4 channel ABS (that I know of anyway)
That's just off the top of my head.....
If you go with a 9", order the housing/axle package from Moser, then have a local shop setup the center chunk/gear assy. You'll save alot of grief and money doing it that way.

Pros
-Modular design - True
-Gear ratios galore - VERY True. This is the biggest problem with the Dana.
-Cheaper parts and waaaaaaay more plentiful - Not necessarly true.
-Easier to setup gears - Not true, they are the same.
-Just as strong - Not true, The Dana has a larger ring gear by .750 and a larger pinion by .310 (1.626 vs 1.316) + you have to add bracing to the 9" housing for strength until you get to the fabricated housings.
-Cheaper overall - Not true. Mark Williams lists assemblies as Dana 60 - $2741, 9" $2985, 12 bolt $2925
-Ability to have one (or multiple) spare center section/gear assys ready to drop-in (different ratios etc..). Have one setup with a spool, the other with a diff etc.... - True

Anyway some things that are missed in your comparison
1)9" 35 spline your only option is a locker or a spool
D60 you can run a posi at 35 spline
2)Axle tubes are thicker on d60 (unless your doing a fabricated housing 9")
3)Weight with a nodualr center section 9" compared to d60 is almost even
Becuase of the better entry angle of the pinion in the D60 it will take more abuse with a "street gear" then a 9"
I don't care what you buy but in a stick car I would DEFINATELY consider a d60. The housing and axle package that Moser and some others sell is a stock type housing with a back brace not a modular housing(although you can get them now I think) A "modular housing" is defined as being like a Fab9(which is what I have in my car). If you don't know what a fab9 is try Google or your favorite search engine.
