easy way to identify size of engine

easy way to identify size of engine I'm looking at an engine on ebay that is down near vancouver WA. the ad says its a 6.0L from a 2004 Tahoe. From doing a little bit of quick research, I'm not finding that a 6.0L was offered in the tahoes for 2004.
Is there an easy way to identify the size? I know on the tpi 350 that is in my truck "5.7" is cast into the back of the block. Is this still true?

I think 6L's have 6.0L cast into the front of the engine on the outside of cyl #1
But I think 04 Tahoes had 5.3s in them. I might make you a deal on my 6L after I have Mike at Accurate engines tell me the block is good / fixable. I even have some 6L heads sitting there.....

Being a longtime Suburban owner, to my knowledge Tahoe's never came with any options for 6.0's. My 2003 Suburban 1500-series has a 5.3. The 6.0's were what the larger 2500-series Suburbans and GMC XL Denali's came equipped with. The only other Chevy trucks that I know of which came with the 6.0's were the 2500-series Silverado's.
