Seattle Auto Show
The lady showing it was an idiot, she told me it was the one from the transformers, so i asked if it was the repaneled GTO. She responded with " umm its composite wheels". i asked if it would be available with the ls3, and she said "this one has an LS series engine", and i asked if it would be using the T56 6 speed, and she just said "i dont know". Thanks alot, at least it looked good. i would recommend everyone in the area to check it out, theres some great customs and exotics as well.

The line up this year looks A LOT better than it has in the past five years combined.
I'm planning on going Saturday (probably around 5pm, after the crouds let up)
then going out for a drink or two.

The composite comment is the RIMS aren't the ones used in the movie, they are composite for show only. Either this gal had a moment of clarity or we didn't bother to ask her anything specific.
Weird thing: the Vette' with the LS3 in it had less leg room than the Z 07', we got pictures of Howard sitting in both and you can see how much more crammed the cabin is from the two. Anyone have info on that? Weird!
After checking both over if it came to getting a full size truck, I'd actually chose the Hemi over the Silverado. It just seems like a tougher truck with better interior parts for a couple of grand less, seems Chev cheaped out on the 07's this time around.
And for 21+K Jeep better rethink its new "Compass Limited Edition", it was *all* cheapo plastic everywhere. We figured it wouldn't retail for more than 16K (considering we seem to pay more than other states) but had true sticker shock looking at the price! They used the same hard plastic as the Vibe which is good for a Vibe, bad for a limited edition Jeep

I think it was the Acura MDX that had us laughing...the back hatch has an automatic opener and closer
There are some new versions of older vehicles, Lincoln and Chrysler seem to be stepping things up a bit, Toyota is trying but most creeped me out, VW is out of the ballpark for anyone over 18, Saab has one car that is so ugly you can't stop staring at it but did good on the rest of their line, Subaru...pretty much did a good dressing up of long term models.
Howard will help me out on what was what, I was a bit busy trying to get our possible step son busy and more interested in American Muscle than ricers

plus she didnt know chit about the car.Its got a few battlescars because he didnt have a stunt double OH PLEASEEEEEEEEEE just shut up & let us look at the flipping car.
I didn't end up making it this year due to work and transportation.
[Rant]
I stopped asking the people that "worked" at the shows questions (usually they're sales people for the local dealers of whatever brand they're there for) when one of them tried telling me specs about the car that weren't even close. And the sad part was the specs were on the window sticker. One thing I learned a long time ago in sales is not to try and BS your way with information if you don't know it. Customers would rather hear you be honest about not knowing the answer and that you would find that out rather than get a line of BS about a product only to find out they were lied to. Kinda like the guy who even when confronted with the factory ordering book for a Cobra R said that he knew a guy who knew a guy who ordered a 2001 Cobra R with a 427 in it from the factory....
All I want is a hunting license... a hunting license for idiots... ya know... a conservative limit of say 3 a day or week or something... Kinda like a 007 license to kill lol. Especially the weekend drivers... The people that normally would take the bus to work or carpool with someone who knows how to drive better than they do. The kind who don't know how to drive through a parking lot without almost running a pedestrian over. Especially a pedestrian who's in a crosswalk at a 2 way stop with 2 incoming lanes that don't have to stop, but they don't feel the need to stop for said stop sign. Or the people that don't know how to use the suicide lane to turn into or out of traffic. After today I've learned that I'd much rather deal with the idiots on 405 all the way from Lynnwood to Redmond... Than deal with the idiots I put up with on the mile commute to Alderwood Mall and back for work.
I'm done ranting... really I am... Promise...
