Question New Engine Look Poll

So I'm trying to decide on a color for my new intake manifold. I'll attach a pic of my engine the way it used to look, along with a pic (from Bob at EPPs engine) of the new intake & elbow I will be installing, and the new inlet tube.

I'm leaning towards either powder coating it the same color as the valve covers, or maybe black. I will polishing the elbow & inlet tube and I was told the fuel rails are red?.....thoughts anyone?

Black eh? How about polishing the valley cover under it? There was one other thought I had of just clear-coating the intake & making the valley cover black......

Powder coat the intake to match the block, polish the valley cover and and the elbow for the intake. Though keeping the valley cover polished up will be a chore.

Maybe powdercoat the valley cover the same color as the block and intake.

Polish the Vic Jr. or have it done, that's a ton of work but would look bitchin with a powdercoated valley cover and then the whole intake tract is polished.

Hell, powdercoat everything black. Less **** to deal with and dissipates heat. And you're making a ton of heat, every little bit helps.

Too funny, but nobody around here would get it. When we first bought the car we had a vanity plate that said "IM 4 NU" with a Nebraska Cornhusker lic plate holder. (BIG RED was taken) I wish I had a dollar for everytime someone asked me what it meant.

Maybe I should try to find one of the engine covers Volkswagon puts on their cars now....the one that makes the engine bay completely flat, where about all you can see is the windshield washer tank. And the DOHC 16V 2.0L emblem.

I agree with him, polish the intake and elbow, powdercoat the valley cover to match the block.

Just drop it off at Todd's house and you'll get it back in show quality.

I do like the idea. And I have all the equip....maybe I'll try that. But I still want to buy 1 7/8 headers, a y-pipe, a fuel tank & pump, so the "it's only money" aint gonna fly.
