The Huskers will be back. Maybe not to where they were, but then their record under Osie for the last 5 years was 60-3-1. Top that ANYONE!? Nuff said about their rich history.
The kids just didn't buy into Callahans style. At least not for NU. He would do well at UCLA. But Nebraska is all about smash mouth football.....500yds & a cloud of red dust. And a STIFELING defense. Look around the Big 12 & you will see how all those other teams improved when Tom left and all the coaches & recruits ended up at K State etc.
I say in 5 yrs they will be a contender again. And starting next year you will NOT see 10 yd wide holes in their defensive line. That defensice coach they got from Mich St was a joke....a regular Dennis Erickson.

i like my steak med-rare -- with Berringers white zinfandel...
and Kstate fans hope you enjoyed your wins the last 4 years -- it will be another 40+ before you win in Lincoln or your own house for that fact
you may see my sense of my team overblown , but i just have faith. the best teams win not the teams with the best talent.... thats why Miami and other teams that have the most 1st rd draft picks have so few championships..
Bo will bring the Family of Nebraska back and that is what callahan whiffed on.. he can recruit he brought alot of the defensive talent on board for LSU. and we all agree he can coach "D" ...

So I should probaly jump in here and give you boys, some ****! I am from Nebraska born and raised. Although I am an Oklahoma Sooner fan, I still keep tabs on the Blackshirts. I will agree with all of you that one day inthe near future the Cornhuskers will rise again, no doubt about it. I can still remember many of times going to Memorial Stadium and watch my Sooners get the pooh beat out of them by one of the most dominant teams in NCAA football. IMO I still believe that the BIG 12 is the most physical division,not to mention underrated. Come on give us some love!

Yeah it makes it rough around the holidays when UN and OU are playing but I manage. All of my family is UN fans and my dad and I are OU fans. My dad used to have to watch football in the family room downstaris when UN was on the TV upstairs so I would always go down their and watch tv with them as it was just me and him down their. So needless to say I grew up watching OU fottball.

Now you have to build a program that hasn't been there since 2002 (gonna take 2-3 yrs minimum), then achieve it. Its just a little fun on the theory that I (and others) have regarding the Sun Belt versus the Rust Belt.
