haha heres another one, my budy pulled into a ford dealer to check out a terminator mustang and they didnt have any but the salesman tells my budy in his modded 2002 SLP SS Camaro that he should check out the focus SVT because even that would smoke his SS. so he left a little smoke show for the ignoramous salesman. damn ignorant naive salesmen.

Here's on I have heard more than a couple times, the f-bod motors are the same as the LS6, lol, cause they run an ls6 intake I guess? On the C5 and the f-bod ls1's being the same, aren't the c5's running a different cam and different exhaust manifolds?

there are slight differences throughout the years. I think on the cams, the C5 had a differnt one than the earlier f-body's. This probably had more to do with the EGR valve than performance though.

I like to point to this Dyno shootout that Hot Rod Magazine did in about '99 or so. 6 speed T/A did like 292 and a 6 speed vette did like 288. I remember telling the guys about this in my fraternaty (I had a T/A at the time) and they couldn't believe it (uneducated to the truth)

LS1 and LS6 are very similar. the LS6 has diferent heads and cam and a better oil delivery. and higher compression hense more power. LS1s in the Fbody have changed like 3 times since they were first introduced in '98. '97 for the vettes. cams injectors and manifolds have changed from 98 to 02. just thought Id share even though Im sure most on this site new that already. I only know cause I had a 2000 SS which is different then my current 2001 Z28 which both are different from the 1998. ok yea Im just bored at work here and Im typing just to read my own words. haha ~Guy
