Looks good Ryan.

For the record I am not really "up in arms" about it I just wanted some thing that fit better and looked almost invisable

Here is the drawing from the Rule book.

Now, the sill bar question is answered. Although they are in the drawing, The text says they are not required.

The next one is the two diagonal bars, identified with the "D", I see those as being required if the cage is welded to plates (ie unibody cars). So, its interesting that some cages that don't have these get certified...

Better yet...most that have the "D" bars weld them to the trans tunnel on plates. In the rulebook it says they technically have to be attached to the subframe, which is more-or-less right behind where you weld the main hoop.

As of the 07 book I had, sill bars were NOT required for unibody cars with unmodified floor pans. Dunno where this thought that they are needed with swingouts came from

Even funnier is that our cars actually have NO subframe in the traditional sence of the word. A subframe is technically removable... When I talked to the tech guy he said that they were required, but for our cars, the only way to do it was with plates to the tunnel area.

Hey as long as you are willing to gamble your life on it every thing is fine

Yes My cage was built in exesse(sp) of the rules on purpose. I also talked to Div 6 tech to make sure all was well and good for things coming up.

My life is worth more then the bare minimum to me so I made sure my cage was to

Actually Ellis, your cage is missing the "D" Bars. The ones that are not optional...

Arg.

Yes Ryan your cage is best. I am in no way dispariging your cage at all. It looks very nice and very strong and much better then the one I installed in my car

I never said my cage was better than yours, But you many times said mine was inferior. I was just pointing out that you shouldn't throw any stones...
