Default Fuel pump going out???

So this morning I went to start my car and it turned over then immediately died. I tryed it aga and the same thing.. So i looked at my fuel pressure gage with the key on and it was at zero. I pumped the gas pedal and it then started and ran fine for the drive to work...

I posted in the fuel section but got no replies...

Any ideas??

Thanks,
Brad

can you hear the fuel pump cycle up to pressure when you first turn the ignition to on but do not try to start it?

Sounds like you have a PASS security issue. That's the same symptom my 'Burb had when a hack twisted wires on the PASS system when he installed the remote start.

F-Bodies don't have 'Pass' They have VATS and if it is set off the car will not even turn over

The key here was he saw 'Zero' Fuel Pressure.

If you can hear the pump then check the FPR.

usually if something is wrong with your VATS, your security light will come on--I would suggest looking at your ignition relay, mine would do the same thing sometimes, start an then just kinda die.
