Default ProFormance Racing Schhol: This MAY!!

http://www.proformanceracingschool.com/

To some, this may be short notice. To others, now IS the time!

In May, I will be attending a driving school at Pacific Raceways in Kent. I have not decided on which day, but the only available slots are the 6th, 20th and June 2nd. Yes, these are all Tuesdays. I will be taking time off of work to attend.

I have had multiple friends go and have heard that this is by far one of the funnest classes they have ever attended. This includes anatomy 303 at WSU! That was an awesome class... Anyway, I digress...

If ANYONE is interested in going this summer, now would be an awesome time! It is rather expensive, but the knowledge gained and time on the track with an instructor in your car is priceless IMO. Right now I want to go on the 6th, but if some other people would rather hold off for a later time I would be willing to wait as well. I want to go as soon as possible so I can get as much real lap time as possible this summer.

Basically, I want to go with other people from this board and have a good time, go to a bar afterwards and shoot the shat over some beers. Pony up! I know some of you reading this have always said "Man, it would be fun to turn left or right instead of always going straight." Well, now you can! And do it with some friends! Send me a PM or reply below, I'll update this thread in the next week or so. And sorry for the late announcement, I just found out about this school. Stupid 13 hour work shifts....

Just pick a date and go for it! Rain or shine, you won't be disappointed. It's the most fun you can legally have.

Go Go Go....The day I went my mind was fried. While one of the funnest things you will ever do it is mentally tiring.

Sounds like someone is making too much money working OT.

I'd love to go, but can't swing it right now.

I've only seen F-bodies out there twice. First was when Yekta ran the same day as I did. The other time was when Mark, Russ, Jason and a couple others from this site went for their first time. You guys need to go back for more!

They went last year on the same day as a friend of mine had a wedding. I was definetly going until I looked at the wedding invite I had on my refrigator. I died a little inside that day.

That class is one of the best things anyone with a performance car can take. Not only is it a friggin blast, but you will learn a LOT! Once I get the kinks worked out I want to go down for a lapping day in the new car & find out how it handles. Certainly won't be in May, but sometime....

Are you allowed to use your own car or do you have to use theirs?

Yup, it costs less to use your own. I think it's $795 to take the class in one of their Cobalt's(they've replaced the Cavaliers) vs. $525 to take the class in your own vehicle. Those may be last year's prices though, so it might be higher in both cases now.

Prices are definitely higher this year than last year... I'm going to have to get out there and do another lapping day. Definitely well worth it!

Yeah, I just checked, for first timers the prices are:
$535.00 using personal vehicle
$935.00 using school sedan(Cobalt)
$1,135.00 using Lotus Elise
It definitely pays to use your own vehicle.

I think the best part of using your own car is learning what it will & won't do. I'd like to spend about 6 lapping days down there to really get into my comfort zone.
