Oh Boy Oh Boy...Car Show, the seasons finally here.
I posted this on the Car Show..Sticky thread but thought I'd include it here as well. Hope that's OK..
I'll be attending my first of the season at the Clover Park Tech College in
Lakewood on May 8th. Can't wait to see what's been hatched over the Winter.
Yeah, I know, It's this Thursday but every year this thing gets bigger.
There is also a kind of "captured" public as the school is one of the biggest in the area and there may be several thousand students to look at the cars.
The auto shop is a wonder. Looks like 10 high end dealership garages all joined together with classrooms in between.
It's a regular show that allows ALL years of cars and bikes, foreign or domestic. Kids go nuts over the muscle cars though...
Lot's of food and music and some nice trophies.
There were about 250 cars there last year and awards included one for clubs or groups.
Location is in Lakewood at the "Old Navy Base" where they built the technical school. It's really in South Tacoma and close to the 512/Hiway99 intersection. 4500 Steilacoom Blvd SW
You can see the TV tower at the school just about anywhere
Starts at 9 am and they give out awards around 3.
School cafeteria is open for chow and a few burger and HD stands are usually available.
Hope it don't rain....
