Default Hey Robert...found you a new toy!

For some reason, I thought of you when I saw this Robert. Must have been all those times at PR when I used to drool over your Red Z. Enjoy!

Default Bad Azz Z06/LS7 Boat

Wow, that's actually pretty cool. Looks as though a company will be producing quite a few. If I was rich, i would add one to the stable. A few boat guys on the forum, i hope they check it out (lsxchevelle to name one). with some prop work i would bet that this would be an easy 100mph boat. Or was it even propeller, could have been a multi stage jet pump. I used to build jet boats and owned a 19' 3-stage Hamilton jet. Nice find, cool find really.

It was a propeller. The chromeish contraption in the back is a wake wedge. The dash actually had a gauge that showed if you were making a big or small wake based on the position of the wedge. I don't know much about boats, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

I've seen one and they are awesome but just not worth the $ for the type of boat it's for. It's a nice ski boat... I'd love a true wakeboarding boat with the 6.0L iron block, LS2, or LS3. However the new thing in wakeboard boats will be smaller turbo diesels since they accelerat faster when you add that 3000 lbs of water balast for an awesome wake.

Am I insane for thinking about using a CVT to keep prop speed up but lower engine RPMS?

yea pricey for sure. Boo on the diesl thing, lol. I just sold a 16' fiber glass ski boat, man would that have been a screamer with an LSx in place of the 150 Merc. But have way to may things going so let it go for a song and dance, even though my son gave it to me for free with the understanding that i build it up. Kinda of regret it when i see boats like this, and the rebuild you did...
