Took Blu' for a spin!

Yeah after chatting with Madman I had to much tire presse in them for what the car wieghs. fixed now. We have only did the base setting on the suspenion. Wednesday will be for testing for sure.
We did Find out the SYA bars keep the car from hitting the headers LOL!
Not to hijack ellis's thread but i'm sure he don't care.

Yeah picked up another 04 Volvo S60-R. This is a salvage car. 6 speed, 30k miles. Runs and drives. Not wrecked but water damage. After investigating it looks like the previous owner was about to get repo'd so they put a hose in the car and filled the front floor with water to get the insurance to total it. Worst case scenario i'm hoping that i'll buy new carpet, replace a few SRS components like the controller and side impact sensors. There really isn't much electronics on the volvo's mounted to the floor. They're all up high in the engine compartment or up high in the trunk.
Monday i'll know a whole lot more. I don't mind doing some repairs because I got it for about 1/3 of what they sell for around here.

Just got my fingers crossed it'll make the 1800 mile drive home. If not i'll arrange transport and fly home.

I am sure we could come up with a truck and trailer to get it. Damn Hijackers!

Yeah but man it's an 1800 mile trip EACH WAY!
I figured it's cheaper to take the gamble and fly down and drive it back.
Fuel prices these days......
1800 miles x2, let's say 25 mpg, $4.75 gal diesel...... $684 in fuel plus days off work, etc etc.
$300 for tickets for me and my 2 girls to fly down, $4.25 per gal at 30 mpg, $255 fuel cost.....
Little cheaper, less time and it'll be good adventure for my kids....even if it is deemed not worthy of the trip and we end up flying back.

Over 174Ft if I remember
I think I can cover that. 6500 RPM clutch drop on street tires.
Does second gear count too or does it have to be a continuous black mark?
It might also destroy my 10 bolt so I can upgrade.

2nd gear, 4k rpm's, modulate with brake pedal.
I usually roll into it and just use the gas until I am done

Nothing but power non-stop makes

BTW Was not the first time had claimed that prize
