you don't necessarily need a new rear.. I was going 11's on my stock 10 bolt. and it is just as good as it was before I started modding my car..

What gears do you have in your car now? are they the 3.42s or 2.73's? if they are the 3.42s then It might be wise to go with a 4.11.

I went 11.7 on stock heads, tb, and ls6 intake. Big cam+big slicks+weight reduction worked for me.

What I have been telling you all along. Cam+bigger stall and some weight removal.

And you will have a solid 11 second car that can still be farely dependable.

My car consisted of this.

PP TB, LS6 intake, LT's, TD's Dumped, Remove front sway bar, removed all the heat sheilding, removed the rear seats, removed the ac, had an ss3600 stall, a farelly good size cam. it was an XFI/XER lobe. and here is a video of one of my first shake down passes.

With the converter you have and a good cam you may well make it on 3.23s.

I have seen LT1 cars go well into the 11s with that and you have a 'Majic' motor

Heck we got a 7 cylinder car going 11.5s n/a with a stall H/C

I wasn't trying to be rude. Just blunt. Countless people have done what you want to accomplish. Listen to what worked and what didn't for them and heed it. Don't try and reinvent the wheel. It's when you start trying to do what no one has ever done before that trial and error starts to play a BIG factor. Good luck and have fun with the car.

Sorry I haven't had to chime in on this one yet. I have a solid 11.6 second car. You can see my mods in my sig. Last yaer I was running pretty consistent low 12's with a relatively small cam, a TCI 3500 stall and 3:73's. On a 125 shot of N20 I ran in the low 11's. I have a few suspension mods: Hal QA1's all the way around and lower control arms. As for your rear end>>> You should be able to get by for a time. But... I would star saving your money... You will need to upgrade eventually. I will be doing it this winter. These 10 bolts will only handle so much abuse. Before you begin, I would set your goals for the car. At that point you can research and find the best set-up for YOU. Also I would remember that the faster you go, the more it costs. Hope this helps in your decision making.
