G13 gathering
But I did enjoy looking at everybody elses bad *** rides. It feels good to be surrounded by all that muscle and showmanship and have no shame in your own game
As long as it improves I may show up. I want racing to be a part of it though. Without racing its just lacking.
people with lesser cars got trophies and stuff like that. I have been in a lot of car shows and almost all of them have something that doesn't go right.
Once I was in a show in chattanooga and I was there at 9am with one of the cleanest cars on the lot. At the last 30min of the show these guys pulled up with the old schools, with the $200 paint jobs, 24"s, 12s and 15s in the trunk, and collaroid interiors and took the trophies. None of them really participated in the show(only being there for 30min) none of them were clean. Basically, I feel I deserved something and folks who deserved nothing got everything. If they'd been there since at least half the time and had been clean I would not feel the same way. Sometimes I believe people get trophies because of who they know instead of what they've got. I don't really care for car shows anymore.
Don't let the small stuff detract from your experience of the event. I could care less about a silly trophy, plaque, or anything else. Hell, at G11 I didn't even WASH my car. It's about fun with friends who share a passion. (Not like Hunter's passion for fornication with farm animals) Just come out and be a part of recurring history.

Now I trailer my car I drive it to events I still keep it in trailer class WHY well in my book the car arrived in my mobile garage and she should stand in this class.
Now for several years Jim and I have done classification for the cars since the G7. We rely on owners to be honest we do not watch people drive in and see if they on a trailer or not. We do not look at a person’s car and see what they do or do not have installed.
I can tell you it happens all of the time people walk up to the classification table we ask them what year, make and model of car we ask them do you have any modifications to the car. The response is No it's pretty much stock, we ask ok do you have different wheels they say YES, do you have exhaust done, they say Yes, we ask do you have any suspension work YES, so you have a different hood or spoiler they say YES, do you have any engine work No just air lid, cam, headers, LS6 intake, ect.. Ok so that would be YES, what about interior mods no just a stereo, gauge pod, ECT.. So YES.
We do the best that we can with what we have to work with and I can tell you the above reading is what 70% of the responses we get.

I go to the event because I enjoy it I could car less if I win anything if people are coming to the event because they want a trophy I think Andy needs to add an option on the registration form an extra $25 and select your trophy so they can had it to the person at registration. Come on down to Atlanta and enjoy one hell of a weekend with your fellow Fbody brothers and sisters.

I personally could care less if we win something. I am just trying to make a point.
