yep.....the nicest cars there last year (which were mostly trailored cars) did NOT show in the correct trailor queen class that they were required by rule ot show in. trailored cars are just too hard and time consuming to compete with, especially if it rains. regadless tho...its the best fbody event ive ever been to, and i hope it gets better each year

me too and I hope so as well. I think partly because of how the show went, it made me feel But I did enjoy looking at everybody elses bad *** rides. It feels good to be surrounded by all that muscle and showmanship and have no shame in your own game As long as it improves I may show up. I want racing to be a part of it though. Without racing its just lacking.

I believe Vengeance was a sponsor and APF was a sponsor as well last year. I am sure they will be this year also.I will talk to Travis tommorrow and find out about the track event. If it isok with the G13 orinizer's I will contact the owner of the track, for pricing and availability.

im sure sponsoring the event is a big deal, but even better would be to have them actually attend the event with some of their bad rides, the ones we see on the net but enver get to see in person.

I'll run it by Andy and Chad today, but if you want to organize a Track GTG offsite, I see no reason why you couldn't. I'd be down to go hand you your ***, in the 1/8 you're gonna need a telescope mounted to your dashboard, anyway. I just got your message, I'll call ya today.

people with lesser cars got trophies and stuff like that. I have been in a lot of car shows and almost all of them have something that doesn't go right.

Once I was in a show in chattanooga and I was there at 9am with one of the cleanest cars on the lot. At the last 30min of the show these guys pulled up with the old schools, with the $200 paint jobs, 24"s, 12s and 15s in the trunk, and collaroid interiors and took the trophies. None of them really participated in the show(only being there for 30min) none of them were clean. Basically, I feel I deserved something and folks who deserved nothing got everything. If they'd been there since at least half the time and had been clean I would not feel the same way. Sometimes I believe people get trophies because of who they know instead of what they've got. I don't really care for car shows anymore.

Don't let the small stuff detract from your experience of the event. I could care less about a silly trophy, plaque, or anything else. Hell, at G11 I didn't even WASH my car. It's about fun with friends who share a passion. (Not like Hunter's passion for fornication with farm animals) Just come out and be a part of recurring history.

this is true, im more about the fun than the trophies, but it would be nice if the rules were abided to as far as classes go in the show. some people work extremely hard to put together somethin that can be competitive, and to be competing with cars that are out of our league and suppose to be in another class is kinda unfair. keep the trailor queens together, keep the drivers together, its simple.

HURRRRY UP MAYYYY!!!!!!

Just a FYI on the trailered car class. As it has been since I have been attending if you trailer your car but drive it to ANY event at the Gathering (GMMG, Varsity, ECT...) you can choose to put yourself in non-trailer class.

Now I trailer my car I drive it to events I still keep it in trailer class WHY well in my book the car arrived in my mobile garage and she should stand in this class.

Now for several years Jim and I have done classification for the cars since the G7. We rely on owners to be honest we do not watch people drive in and see if they on a trailer or not. We do not look at a person’s car and see what they do or do not have installed.

I can tell you it happens all of the time people walk up to the classification table we ask them what year, make and model of car we ask them do you have any modifications to the car. The response is No it's pretty much stock, we ask ok do you have different wheels they say YES, do you have exhaust done, they say Yes, we ask do you have any suspension work YES, so you have a different hood or spoiler they say YES, do you have any engine work No just air lid, cam, headers, LS6 intake, ect.. Ok so that would be YES, what about interior mods no just a stereo, gauge pod, ECT.. So YES.

We do the best that we can with what we have to work with and I can tell you the above reading is what 70% of the responses we get.

All that we ask is that people being honest when we classify then we cannot control if they do not tell the truth. I have been bring my car to the Gathering in a trailer since the G7 I always keep it in the trailer class IMHO I have less competition plus I know it’s not fair to those who cannot plus I spend on average 8-10 hours on the underside of the car for the Gathering a moth before we leave and a good 10 hours on the outside and inside so I know it’s hard to you all to compete heck I am always in the trailer class with Taz and Brian that is one tough bunch to beat.

I go to the event because I enjoy it I could car less if I win anything if people are coming to the event because they want a trophy I think Andy needs to add an option on the registration form an extra $25 and select your trophy so they can had it to the person at registration. Come on down to Atlanta and enjoy one hell of a weekend with your fellow Fbody brothers and sisters.

Right. And, after all these years, I don't even have to tell anyone that I belong in "Stock".

I dont think all the trailered cars should be made to stay in that class. We drove our car from Indiana to G12 last year and had a great time doing it. Our car has by no means low miles and is not a rare car. We were with the Z28.com group and when we went out to eat we all piled into a few trucks so we wouldnt have to take all the cars with us. We had 8 cars. This year it looks as if we will have as many as 15 cars, so we are planning on trailering ours with our 4 door tahoe so that a lot of people can ride with us to go out to eat. Does this mean we will have to be in the trailered class? Our car is far from mint. Oh and we had problems with our opti on the way home back to Indiana. That is the other reason for us trailering it. All the other shows that we go to within a one state radius it is driven to. It is basically a DD in the summer for my wife, weather permitting. Again, does that mean i should be made to stay in a trailered class.

I personally could care less if we win something. I am just trying to make a point.

Per the rules no if you drive it off the property it's no longer in trailered class
