2009 Trans Am Nationals in Dayton, Ohio
#21
I'm pretty positive I'm just coming up for Sat. only with a guest and walking around. Won't be bringing the car or anything. I just like to look and buy some odd and ins. I'm about burnt out on car shows and taking this year off on shows. I'll look for your car if I make it up. I never stay for Sunday and like Sat. since there's more to see.

Welcome to Dayton Ohio.
In years past you guys have rented Kil Kare for drag racing. I don't know if you're doing it again. At any rate Kil Kare has a test and tune Thursdays. 15.00 to race 5.00 to watch. Getes open 4:30 or so. Normally car counts are 225 to 300 cars. Normally there are some silly fast - driven to the track street cars. If you're in town Thursday come get some.
you're welcome

Yeah there was a guy that used to rent the track for the TA Nats time period but wasn't actually connected to the event. He stopped doing it 2 years ago though and I won the last year he had it.

That might have been a guy in nice Blue T/A. Perhaps a 10.3 et. car, I don't remember. If it's him, we once drove to local tracks and raced. Then he made his car faster and pulled with an Avalanche.
Damn, what was his name? Nice guy had something to do with the Dayton T/A club. Oh well, you're all welcome to come racing Thursday. I know he worked at GM perhaps lost his job!!
For directions - it's www. kil kare.com
you're welcome

Clean up starts this weekend. I haven't had it out much this year (~1000 miles) so it shouldn't be too bad to do, its the wheels that take a long time....I have some new polish I am going to give a try so hopefully not to bad.

I'll be there with my medium blue metallic trans am with silver checkered racing stripes. For you guys wanting to win a trophy, let me give you a little piece of advice. The judging and classing is the worst I've ever seen. This was evident last year when 97RAMSST's absolutely gorgeous SOM didn't even place in the our class. I have been going to this show since 1997 and wouldn't miss it, but quickly learned that the years I did win a trophy that I didn't get to enjoy the show because I was cleaning my car all weekend. Then the one year I won a trophy and didn't do anything but wash it and clean the interior. So you can decide to either spend all your time cleaning your car to only be disappointed because of the poor judging, or make it presentable and enjoy the cars and the people.
