2009 Car Craft Summer Nationals and RSE Demo Video
July 17-19, 2009 at the Minnesota State Farigrounds, St. Paul, MN
Ten years ago, we thought it cool when a '70 Nova made 494 rear-wheel horsepower on the dyno and the car count at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds topped 1,200 cars. In 2008, the Car Craft Summer Nationals in St. Paul had 5,000 cars, 30,000 people, and the winning car on the dyno made an eyeball-flattening 1,333.45 hp!
With GM Performance Division as the presenting sponsor, the show has climbed from merely a crowd of dudes doing burnouts to a gigantic mob of street machiners eating thousands of pounds of fried cheese curds. Every year, the Car Craft Nats hosts the Miss Car Craft contest, a dyno contest, and the mighty burnout contest.
2008's event was such a success that we are going to do it all again in 2009. Be there with your game on.

I am...I got an invitation to RSE. I have been trying to post on some Minneapolis forums to get info on where to stay, cruise, etc. The local ford forum let me sign up, but not post. I need to leave Tuesday to make it there by Thursday pm, so I hope I get a bunch of info before tomorrow.

How about hotels with a place to park my trailer? Most of the hotels they list are metro with underground parking. How bad is traffic? Could I get away with a suburban hotel and commute? Any recommendations?

Yea you could definetely do that if you wanted too. Traffic does get a little thick during carcraft, I mean there is 3000+ cars. Far as parking a trailer at a hotel you would have to check around and ask the people that work at the hotel your staying at. It would be a lot cheaper to get a hotel room thats 15-20 mins away instead of right near the fairgrounds thats for sure. When I didn't live in the cities thats what my friends and I would do, just get a room in a suburban area near by and drive over.
