EVEN if you go from a tree, it doesn't make any difference if you are not going to have eliminations. Only thing won in that case would be bragging rights for that particular matchup. So I guess my point is if you are NOT going to have eliminations it doesn't make any diffrenece whether you use a tree or not so best ET in THIS this case would seem to work OK.

How many inexperienced guys are going to be able to holeshot a faster car anyway????

Isn't it called the Tuner Shootout? This is to see who has the best combo NOT who is the best drag racer.

basing it on what you just printed
than i guess you dont even need a track just put car on dyno, because a properly set up car will make for a good et,as will a properly tuned engine , i was just asking about that rule as i never saw it before,an wanted to know what it meant. thnx

That combo includes everything necessary to get you from point A to B. This is of course my opinion on the event. I didn't write the rules.

You're exactly right , it's about who has the quickest car at the track that day , same track , same conditions , when the first 5.0 Mustang shootouts first started , they used to do single file runs , it was all about who is the fastest/quickest on that day , that's the same format as this shootout .

Exactly...it is a tuner shootout, not a reaction time shootout, not a red light shootout, a tuner shootout.
It's all about quickest/fastest cars in the nation at the same track, in the same air, on the same day...no excuses.

Guys, what's the rulling on the FAST intake? Looks like we just made that 6 week mark but I think it needs to be stated whether or not they are allowed.
