Default Texas Mile Congrats to Kelly Bise and Josh!

With all the hard work and dedication, the new world record was set. After a mishap on Sat. the valve cover leaked and started a ball of fire. At the same time the wiring harness broke free and wrapped up in the wheel. It yanked most of the wiring out, even from the dash. Josh still pulled off a great run. They got the parts at 1:30 am (with a boost controller) and worked through the night. By morning all the repairs were made and ready to go for it. The boost was cranked up more than the last pass from the day before. Keep in mind Josh drove this car into a 20 mhp+ head wind and on a course with a NASTY dip at the finish line. At the 200 mph mark he was smoking his tire and was all over the track. When he made it to the finish line the car was nearly sideways. The parachute saved him...again.
He was ready to go again when he came back in. He didn't come off that high all day. It was an awesome thing to witness.

So how fast did he go? 244.5 mph in a nasty head wind. In the photo below is the motorcycle rider that topped it by going 244.6. These are the 2 fastest guys at the mile this year.
