Guys on the East Coast, you need to do this: HOT ROD is going to be at the East Coast Timing Association event in Maxton, North Carolina, on April 2-3 for the first-ever HOT ROD Top Speed Challenge. The event is land speed racing on a one-mile old WWII runway, and the classes we are covering are for street-legal cars. The rules are pretty simple, lots of records are still pretty soft, and you can usually make lots and lots of passes. It's like a single-lane drag race for a mile.
