Drag racing will be an non-corvette museum event as there was a big fallout between the owner (Dallas) of the track and museum so anybody wanting to race drag wise will need to attend the regularlly secheduled Test & Tune night Friday. I think the gates open at 6 but it might be 7. As for tech last year there was none.

Just in the past few months. Dallas basically didn't want to open up his track for the museum because he wasn't really making any profit from it, well at least not enough for his liking and there were some disputes between him and the museum about a few other things as well from what I understand.
He charges $2500 for 4 hrs and not making any profit + consession.

There was only about 15 cars that ran last year so it probly wasn't worth his time. I went and I know I was really dissappointed. Honestly the whole event sucked for the money you had to pay. to see at best 60 cars.

What's the latest on this event? are a bunch of members going? if so, where is everybody staying at/hanging out?

i work at the corvette museum and there are like 170 pre registered.... not bad but you can register at the museum day of. they have some pretty cool t-shirts this year that you can buy. hope to see a bunch of people. ohh yeah....we have gotta have a cruise at night and stuff friday night or saturday night...see ya this weekend.

Awesome... I live umm, in Bowling Green, so I have to be there. Hangouts are at the Sonic on Campbell Ln., Trees N Trends on Campbell Ln. (used to be at the car wash on Scottsville, but no one is allowed to park there now. Trees N Trends is right across the street from the car wash so we migrated there. Cops said that was ok.) Autozone on 31-W bypass, and the Marriott hotel where most of you are probably staying, right off of Scottsville Rd. behind Steak & Shake. There's also a Sonic on Nashville Rd., which happens to be about 1/4 mile from my house.
I'm looking forward to getting to meet everyone, this is my first year at the Invasion with my own F-Body.

Update:
My wife and I will be there this weekend. We rented a room at the Country Hearth Hotel(hotel next door to muesem) for cheap.
If anyone else wants the #, it's 270-783-4443. I just paid 48.80 for a single queen bed non-smoking.
I hope to see a few of you guys there! My car is a black ram air car with silver stripes, and a lopey cam. It'll be on the black trailer with a new Red F-150 pulling it. If we make it in time we will be at the track friday night. Stop by and say hello!!

I dont know about you guys but I was very disappointed again at this event. We showed up Friday morning and they were already out of t-shirts and dash plaques. Only a few cars on hand compared to previous years. And one damn t-shirt vendor, what the hell is up with that?? We packed up and left Sat morning. Definitely a few nice cars out there though. Just not the turnout I expected once again
