I agree with Cts on this one. Rattle can primer in my opinion is junk. The only thing that should is painting stuff around the house even then I don't like it. I think that just paint along is better protection than using that stuff.

rattle can primer is junk.
Why did you prime inside on the inside of the fender? Its common for a beginner to go to far with primer, you should only prime where you made a repair, or for blocking, if there is nothing wrong with the fender edges/crevaces dont prime them, youll just be making more work for yourself later.

Dont use 400. Always use 600 for silver/ light metalic colors as you will see sand swells with anything else.

IF your priming your car why dont you take the parts off, much easier to work with and dont have to worry about over spray.
