black mirrors or painted??
i plan on getting my roof painted due to a few bubbles in the paint. my car now has red mirrors and red door handles. i had a red lt1 and it had black mirrors and handles. i was wondering if all ls1 camaros came with color matching mirrors and door handles or if just some came with them like that. well what im gettin at is whether i should paint the mirrors black and door handles black while im at it ???? has anyone done this? if so i would like to see some pics to give me some idea of how it will look. thanks

2000+ came with body painted mirrors and i think all came with matching door handles.
whichever one would look better depends on if you have any other black accents on the car. I wouldnt do black mirrors with chrome/polished wheels, but if you plan on black wheels or berger, then they would compliment eachother nicely

On Camaros the mirrors blend in with the body/fenders and I think they look better painted to match. Trans Ams mirrors are distinctly seperated from the body and look good black only if there's other black accents. There has to be a balance of the contrasting color for it to look right, otherwise it seems out of place. Camaros should keep their mirrors color-matched with the body of the car....IMO.

No way to fix other that remove and replace the ENTIRE roof hoop. You can buy the hoop from GM.
Some one did post a nice DIY with pics here too.
Unfortunately the adhesive manufacturer changed the solvent content in the glue, heat reactivates it and WALA! Bubbly roof hoop.
There is a TSB from GM about it, and it is in the sticky at the top of this forum.
Just didn't want you to waste good money repainting the hoop if the glue will destroy it again.

My car came with black and I just put on red ones:

Red:
Black makes it seem like GM just cheaped out and painted them all that color (which they did) and body painted just flows such much better
