SLP Grill Prep & Paint?

I bought a used SLP bowtie grill cheap, but it has a few places where the black paint is gone. I want to repaint, but I am unsure of what process I should use to strip the old paint? Should I use a paint stripper or sand it off? I am worried about using a paint stripper on plastic piece like the SLP grill. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thank you,
Dave

^^^ thtas what i would have done. i would have just of sanded everything until all the areas where the paint is gone is smooth where it meets the exsisting paint. put a good coat of sealer base it and clear it.

hehe, they look the best on NBM F-bodies!
BTW, I want to thank you! I used your write up as reference for my installation. It certainly helped to find all the fasteners for removal of the front fascia/bumper.

I just prepped the surface smooth again. I didn't completely remove the paint. However, I had mine professionally painted. Also had them use a flex additive. I did mine with a twist:
