Default hit a street sign last night, easy fix?

so last night i was driving and out of nowhere the road went to ice next thing u know i go over the curb and into a random street sign but i got everything taken care of and now i have a crack in my bumper and a huge gash!! i was wondering if a body shop would be able to fiber glass the bumper back together or would i have to get a whole new bumper? and now i have also noticed that it sits there and makes a weird sound when its off like a "pop" every 30 seconds or so when its off and just sitting there. any opinions on either would be very appriciated and thank you in advance

I fixed similar damage on mine. Autozone carries this two part epoxy tube for $6-7 called plastic bumper repair. it dries quick but stays flexible. I actually hit something else in the same area not too long afterwards and it held (another part of the bumper tore).

Yup. You'll have to sand around the damage as well so the epoxy will be able to stick to something. If you dont have the missing pieces, put some tape underneath then peel it off once the epoxy on top dries, then add it to the under side (where the tape was) for a stronger bond.

Yeah, if you are somewhat handy, fix it yourself, and paint it with some touch up paint. Or worst case, fix the damage and get it painted. I think 1 day paint centers charge $75 per panel or spot or something like that.

I hit a street sign last december ('07) and my body guy re-'glassed it, painted the bumper, repainted the hood and added the manta. It was only $700.

that will buff out....
Seriously, I'm sorry for you. Been there, done that. Since then, I always say f-bods handle like pigs on ice. Mine stays parked when they even forecast the frozen stuff after I did a 360 in traffic in a 3-lane highway at night at around 50 MPH.

it sucks cuz i had a 3rd gen a few years ago and that thing was unstopable in the snow, i even at one point had .456 gears outback and she still got around in the snow. i remember one time it was about a foot of snow and that thing was just tuggin along no problem. then i got this and im afraid to even take it out if its under 30 degrees

That stuff easy enough to use? That may just be the stuff to use on my bumper to avoid replacing it over a crack. It is near a mount point tho, think it would be strong enough?
