Default LT1 Red and LS1 Red

Is the red used on 93-97's the same red used on 98-02's?

Was one of the reds used on LT1's and one used on LS1's? The reason I ask is I had an LS1 front on my car when I bought it and you can tell the red is a little brighter on the LS1 parts than the LT1 parts - but maybe it was just a bad paint match.

I'll post up pictures after the camera charges.

Id have to say it is the same color. Most lt1's have different colored bumpers due to the urethane. Sucks, but they seem to have fixed that issue in 98.

It must have been just a bad color match then cause the LS1 fenders didn't match my LT1 doors.

Personally the color on the LS1 front looked better to me - it was like a bright, bright red. It makes the LT1 color look kind of dark.

Pictures coming soon.

yeah it was really noticeable on black cars. the bumpers looked almost dark gray. i had mine resprayed at one point for this very reason. now they are shiny black and match perfectly

its just old and faded. i noticed a difference between 96 ss red, 99 ss red and new paint. factory paint(well any paint really) just loses its brightness after time

same paint code (#8774 from '91-'02)... but that doesn't mean the color is the same (see image below)... there are actually seven different variations of that color red

Thank you. It looks like when I get my car repainted I'll be going with the red from the Corvettes.
