I have a 98 T/A in BGC that's what the original window sticker says, I'm wondering what color yall's interior is because from what I've heard most cars this color are tan while mine is dark pewter. I was told the original owner special ordered the car this way, can anyone confirm?

'98 BGC T/A here (tan interior btw), great color, but one problem: it's nearly impossible to coordinate colors! Most, if not all, black rims look awful, and can't really come up with a good color for calipers/engine bay accents. Red wouldn't look bad, but I'm afraid it would end up looking like Christmas! Great looking color overall though.

Hey brutalis nice ride, my calipers are just painted silver, and all my added decals are going to be silver/gray as well to match the interior. Under the hood I have a red top optima battery and it kinda stands out, I think anything I add under there will be black or aluminum/chrome.

That is basically what I've determined. Silver/chrome on the outside, red under the hood seems to be a good combo. I'm thinking some red suspension parts will look pretty hot too.

ok so i know this is kind of an old thread but i have a MTM or BGC trans am and i just picked up a ws6 hood for her. The hood is white so i am going to try and color match it. I was wondering if anyone knows where i can get the paint (RPO 79U). Does the dealership sell that kind of thing in to the public or an online website (sponsor maybe?)? I tried that duplicolor color match they sell at the autoparts store on a camaro i was trying to match a SS spoiler to and it looked close to the color but it wasnt exact. So i really want to try and get the exact paint. Any help will be appreciated.

I have a 1998 blue-green chameleon Trans Am with the charcoal interior. I just bought some rattle can paint to touch up a few things and repaint the front license plate cover I bought from a pewter TA. I'll have to get back to you on how close they match, but here's the site: TouchUpPaint.com They were the only ones I could find selling the stuff, and you can get enough to shoot through a paint gun if you wish.

Hey, sorry, somehow I missed your reply until now. The paint isn't a 100% match, but it is really, really close. I just retouched a spot where I scraped the rocker on a high curb and afterwards you could see the border where I masked the area off with tape. This could also be due to painting base coat on top of clearcoat without a clearcoat of its own yet, but it looked a bit bluer than the OEM paint. However, when I removed the tape and feathered out the edges of the basecoat paint and followed up with a clearcoat, you cannot even tell the difference. Basically, if you paint a whole part with the stuff, it looks identical, like my license plate filler for example. If you touch up an area with it, then feather the boundaries out and you'll be golden. I wouldn't try this on just a part of a large area such as the hood, as it may look weird, but anywhere else should be fine.

Both Blue Green Chameleon and Mystic Teal are paint code 79U, so I believe its just a naming difference?
That being said, I have a 95 TransAm that is Mystic Teal. Not many of these around, especially LT1's (well its an LT4 now ).
