Wanting wheels painted: Which route to go

Wanting wheels painted: Which route to go Im purchasing some cheap snowflakes to paint falt black and wanted to know which way I should do it.
Do I get them powder coated? Do I take them to a professional painter or just use a rattle can and hope for the best?

On a set of snowflakes, I would just rattle-can it. If they were a high-end wheel, thats another story, but you don't need to spend much $$$ on stockers. You can always repaint if needed too.
^^^ I completely agree. Don't waste your money having someone else paint them. Take that $100 and put it in a jar labeled "new wheel fund". Flat black in pretty hard to mess up. Just rough the wheels up with some 800 grit and wipe them down before paint. Light coats are best. It might take a few. You can wetsand in between coats with ~ 1000 -1500 grit to get a nice, smooth finish.

Yeah thats what I figured. I plan on doing the berger panel at the same time.
Im getting a really good deal on the wheels compaired to some of the prices ive seen. So that extra cash I would have spent is already going into the wheel/mods fund.

I dont think you can paints chrome youd have to pretty much sand all of it off im sure. I wasnt gonna paint them anyways that way I can keeps em and put them back on if the flat black doesnt work out or what not
