Default painting the wheel wells

who's done this? i plan on the filling in the holes and a putting a few coats of base and clear on it. im going to be doing it with the engine in the car, but im going to move as much stuff out of the way as possible, any suggestions?

use tin foil on tthe wires works great

work in a body shop for eight years we use foil and plasic when cutting in engine bays

ive done it twice to mine. its very do-able with hthe motor in the car if you arent doing a color change. throw a sheet over the motor, and wrap the wires and everything else in tape or tin foil. be sure to have the entire car covered up too, overspray will find its way to paint if its not covered.

i did this in my driveway...









i fillled in my holes with fiberglass filler (the kitty hair stuff), sanded that down, and then went over that with metal glaze. sanded it down level, primed, and painted with a single stage paint from a gun.

how did u relocate the fuse box? any pics?

good cut in job. . I never would have thought to use tin foil.
