got a 97z28 the car is white, the top is black, the mirrors are white, door handles are black. I was just wondering if this is the way it was factory or if someone painted the top. Thanks

it could have come either way, but it's probably factory.

thats what im thinking, some guy that looked it over the other day said that somebody must have painted the top black

hardtops: z28's came with a black sail panel and black roofs. v6's had body color sail panels and body color roofs

My 97 Z (cayenne red) came with the body color roof and black door handles. some Z's did come with black roofs. look on the drivers side door for the rpo code sticker and it may have two paint codes on it. should be on the lower left.
