Default remove/trim air dam

has anyone removed or trimmed up the air dam under the front of the car. I think that's what it's called anyway. it forces air up from under the car for the radiator. it's always scrapping and looks bad.

Nah, go ahead and take it off man, it's only useful if you don't want your car overheating

Actually this subject has come up many times before and the verdict is always keep it there. Do what you will but does it really make that big of a difference? Scraping it isnt going to break anything.

like the previous posts said, its there to deflect air up to your radiator as you are driving. our cars already run hot enough as is, so keep it on there

Actually, I have driven without it, and trust me, the engine gets up to 200*+ in no time. Only reason why I did was because I was working on the car and forgot to put it back on afterwards. There's no way I would ever recommend to anyone, for whatever reason, to drive without it.

now that I know you have tried it and it didn't work out i will leave mine alone. I thought you were telling me not to with no experience to back it up. thanks.

Doesn't specialized stainless make stainless steel replacements? And people were putting decals on them and stuff, they looked really sharp! I know for a fact someone made them, and i remember seeing plenty of pictures. But i dont remember who.
