Default Painting Bumpers

Hi everyone. My rear bumper, the paint is chipping and cracking. Front bumper, has a huge tear in it, so i bought another used one. My local body shop wants $750 to sand, paint, reinstall bumpers(they will be painted off the car). What do you guys think? Is $750 about right or not?

$750 is cheap to paint and install two urthane bumpers. I would ask what type of paint they plan to use.

I just paid $433 to have the front bumper painted (installed it myself).

$700 for paint and install sounds good, but make sure the body shop has a good reputation.

Yes, they have a good reputation. It's not one of those big body shops which do 30 cars at a time.

What would be considered a good type of paint?

Ask to see some of there work from before hand. If it looks good let them do the work. Good luck!

How much would it be if you just installed the bumpers yourself?

750 is a good price though.

$750 for both isn't a bad price at all.

$750 sounds reasonable. Not so much that you're getting hosed, but enough that the work should be good.
