Default Question....

Ok guys I need some help. On my R6's gas tank I have a few dents one being about 1/2 deep. I was wondering can I fill it with fiberglass and then bondo and glaze over the fiberglass?

What do you guys think I should do? I really dont want to mess with popping it out cause the tank is already so thin and it doesnt leak as of now.

I know this isnt an fbody but Im hoping someone can help.

Thanks!!

It's possible but i would just use bondo or the bondo glass don't mix them.

Well see I have always been told dont use more then 1/4" of bondo or you risk it cracking more. So I was thinking fiberglass could fill the void then bondo and glaze to fill the holes and sand marks.

The bondo hair will do what you need. It's bondo inlaid with fiberglass.

It shouldn't crack if it is not a big surface. You could always try and tell us what happens

Yeah I think im just gonna use fiberglass to get it pretty much level. Then a thin layer of bondo to fill the fiberglass holes and such and then a final glaze coat.
