Yes, recommend remove from engine, clean the daylights out of it, sand it first with like 120 grit to get rid of casting marks, sand with 180, 240, 320, clean it again, hit it with adhesion promotor, paint, wet sand, paint again then clear it. . .
BTW, if you use expanding foam earplugs in the injector bungs, you don't have to worry later about fitment![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
