which Type/Brand of Paint for CETA mod?
im loving the look of the CETA mod and i'm definitely going to do it but, i can't find any real info on any particular paint and/or primer to use or NOT to use....
i did search and only came up with something along the lines of "sem" paint?
any info is greatly appreciated...

did you use the high temp stuff?
i checked in the howto and didnt find anything, thats why i made this post....though there is a big possibility i overlooked the information...

i used duplicolor primer and duplicolor acrylic enamel semigloss black. i started with acrylic lacquer but i couldnt get an even finish. enamel did the trick tho! oriellys had a sale, buy one can get one free

I still don't understand why everyone uses primer, there is no need, it's not like it's some kind of magical adheision promoter. All you need is a red scotchbrite and some black spraybomb.

also, if you use a lacquer, then you need to use a primer sealer.

I don't know of 1 aerosol primer that is not lacquer based. And why would you use a self etching primer over top an already clearcoated surface, let alone bare plastic (if you happen to have bare plastic). A simple scuff with a "red" scotch brite and wipe down with a precleaner are completely sufficient enough.
