anyone ever seen a matte silver or any color on an F-body? And is there a difference between a "matte" v.s. a "flat?"
Lambo's use a matte color a lot but that type of car has sharp lines that a F-boy doesn't really have so it might look funny.

matte and satin are very similar flat is well flat.. and it cant really be washed well as dirt and dust likes to stick to it .. if you are wanting to "murder" your car out there are many companys that make a hod rod flatz wich is a single stage , thatd be your way to go.. kustom shop sells a galon of it with hardner for $100

matte and satin are so close to tell a difference as well as semi-gloss theyre all practically the same. As to the hotrod black I just use a primer called DP21 which is a primer you can add color too and do any colr you want and then I use matte clear over that instead of doing it single stage. And it comes out great, and its easy to wash as opposed to the comment above it just shows grease.
