Exclamation Question on body work!

Recent little accident, i have shitty insurance so on my own, never dealt with doors before so without further adieu, new door or new door shell?

Well actually if they where to replace it, it would be a skin, the shell is the inside part. They cant replace the skin, they can only replace the skin if its metal.

Since its fiberglass they will either-

A: repair it
B: Replace the entire door.

Just depends on if they think they can repair it or not.

a fiberglass door can be skinned its just a huge pain in the ***. door can be fixed if some one has time and the skill used door is always a good option

I stand corrected.

This IS true but your right, the time it would take your better off with a used door.

door is beyond repair, look for a junk yard door, but then what if ya need a upper hinge?? what if the door doesnt come in the exact color, what if you have no expeirence in body work at all and you dont know how to adjust the door, adjust the glass, prep for paint, remove all parts for paint,

oh heres a thought why not get a better insurance company so all you have to pay is a deductable, and not thousands, in a shop this would be close maybe more then a 1,000
