Sanding tips
Sanding tips I'm going to give painting a shot this spring. My first attempt will be on my 00 Camaro going from silver to gun metal grey. I recently bought a SS hood and spolier for it and figured I might as well paint it all the color I would like. First question is what grit sand paper should I use when sending the clear, and paint off. I figure go with something corser for the clear and paint, then smooth it out with some fine grit stuff. Then prime. What grits should I use where?

I've prepped a few cars before with my dad and helped paint. It was just a while ago and I don't remember all the little details. Sanding sucks but I think it will be a nice release for me working on my ride. I plan on using some bondo over a couple quarter size dents in my quarter panel (compliments of a ladder falling) and some plastic bondo to clean up the front bumper (I took out the black ugly grill). I wanted to prime it since I had the new hood and fin and wanted all the paint to come out matching. I'm out in the Elgin area and might need some help taping the lines for my hood scope, not sure if I have the eye or steady hand for that. Other then that I'm good. Thanks guys.
