painting behind the grill

read a few people asking where or how to paint behind the grill. I went ahead and Powder coated the billet grill, while doing so i decided to paint the bumper. Its up to you if you want to prep before paint, highly recommended of course. I used a 250, and cleaned it up with a 1000 wet sand just to make sure the paint sticks and while removing any type of wax on the paint. I used black flex paint from kragen. pics to follow

I am doing the same thing to my bumper when my car gets a fresh coat of paint in April. I love my black billet grille on my Z and I can't wait to see how it will look with flat black behind it. The SOM behind it really detracts from the grille itself. Post pics of the grille installed if you can. I am sending these pics to my painter so he can grasp the concept I am getting at.
