Default How do I repair the vinyl hood stripes on my CETA?

I noticed yesterday that the recent ice and snow here has caused the top edges of the birds on my CETA's hood to peel. Surprisingly I can't find any information anywhere on how to repair this, any ideas?

easiest thing to do would probably be to remove them. a heat gun + rubbing them off with your fingers should do the job. theres also some type of adhesive remover wheel you can get to remove them.

and then once they're off do a good cleaning/buffing. then add a new set of stripes down.

this is the best place i know of for buying exact reproduction stripe kits. I've heard a lot of great reviews for this site from 2nd gen guys. I'm going to be buying a replacement stripe kit for my moms '79 Z28 once its all done and painted.
