Default Side moldings

Hey i have a ta and my side moldings are rust colors and they are suppose to be white i have tried to use rubbing compound and wet sanding it and nothing seems to work. Im thinking of just taking them off but im concerned it will look funny. I have seen camaros with them off but never a ta. Does anyone have pics or ever seen this done on a ta and if so what do you guys think.

Mine is a 95 and i tooke them off in 05 and you couldn't tell. Just use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the glue and it'll come off easier

I used two wood dowels and wrapped fishing line around both and used it like a garrote inserting the line between the door skin and molding and pulling slowly down the sides of the car. I highly recommend you wear gloves from the start. This is very tough on the hands. Came off beautifully. Just follow up with Oops or your favorite cleaner wax. I have seen problems on other cars where someone has sprayed clear over the moldings after they were installed. I really like the look of the car without the moldings, but I am concerned about eliminating the protection.

Took mine off, just used a heat gun to loosen the end, took some pliers and pulled. The adhesive was easy to remove.

take em off!!! looks so much cleaner. just use some good fishing line to get it off, and then a heat gun to remove all of the adhesive.

12 year old paint, no problems.
